Gilling Trace / Rotten Bottem

#1 Post by PaddyB »

Ive had an Idea and am wondering if anyone else has ever tried it?

Picture a normal 2 hook Gilling set-up with a tube boom, but instead of just clipping the weight straight onto the boom, you do it via 3 foot of line, simillar to a rotten bottom, except you tie a blood loop just above the weight and attach a hook, so you can target pollack and wrasse in one go.

Is this a tangle waiting to happen or do you reckon it would work?

Paddy forget about the tube boom and use a simple 2 way bead at the top
of a 6ft trace add a 5ft snod to the bead ,then add two more 2way beads at
the bottom of the trace with short snods for the wrasse
