Launched from Dunmore east
Well, at last managed to get out for a day, and we had a good days fishing around the saltees. no plan , just went to various marks to see what we could pick up and to give eddie a view of the marks before the upcoming small boats festival.
highlight of the day was a nice specimen Starry Smoothound of 3.3 kg on a spinning rod fishing for flats, it put up a great scrap. also had another very shortly afterwards but not as big.
all in all a great day, though at times it was like cowes week with amount of small boats out fishing!!!
regards

That's a fine tally Martyn.
Hopefully it will all come together at the festival. Is it the same team this year?

hi bass point,
we had a couple of keeper cod to 3lbs, and hopefully a nice sign, lots of small codling ( bout 5 inches long ) near the saltee's, like 3 at a time. lets hope its future stocks, before they get netted!
yes 22, species, barry, it would be nice to get them on the comp, but the rock cook and goldsinney and turbot are very hard to get to size
