anyone ever tried fishing on a coral beach

i was at a coral beach on Sunday,had no fishing gear :( but saw a nice surf rolling in and churning up a lot of sand
just wondering if the sand is to rough for lug and other worms to live in and has anyone ever fished any of these beaches and had they any results
lifetime species fishing and rock pool

i have spun around the edges there and picked up some small pollack - never tried baits

i would imagine the coral could mess up the worm baits - but youll never know unless you try

the other thing i would say is looking at it at LW its not very clear ground, plenty of rock outcrops weed etc. - id say you could loose a bit of gear
