Arklow South beach

#1 Post by Pat Spillane »

Monday 28th Mar

Fished from 1900 till 2200 on a rising tide. Lots of dogs and small fish caught mainly on squid. The mini squid were a real bonus here as they are easy to bait up with no cutting required. The action was very fast with bites coming not long after casting. Very little happened before dark. We used lug and muscle also but it was the squid that made the difference.

All sounds good but we had fished the last few hours of the rise off the rocks in Greystones only catching a small dab. We moved on to Kilmichael point for a couple of hours just to have a look before going to Arklow and only had a small codling there.
