skerries & donabate
fished from the beach in skerries sat and donabate sun, nothing but some flatties taken on rag & fresh lug. If it wasn't for the weather would have called it a day much earlier - are there anything but those flatties out there ? didn't feel like it !!

donabate
In front of the martello tower, there's a little outflow there so I thought it may attract some action. We started on the smaller beach just 2 mins walk north of d'bate near the back of st ita's - not a sausage there so about 1 hr before ht we moved to the martello tower and had a flat of about 1lb. I even took in a crab on the hook from my last cast - peeler.
Didn't seem to be anything else there and no bit bites even.[/quote]

The outflow down from the hotel?
Ive wondered about that, lots of clean to slightly rough patches there.
Used to play down on that beach and the rocks when i was a kid, always found tackle in the rocks, never thought of trying it though.
Maybe a night session would throw up something from the beach.

I got chatting to a local in skerries on Saturday, he'd been fishing around there for 30yrs's+ and apart from him saying that there was nothing going there (was he keeping something to himself ...mmmm  ) anyhow he'd pointed me in that direction. Played there many's a year when I was a chizzler too, and it's handy for a quick pint after
