wicklow beach 5-4-09

#1 Post by roger de dodger »

People:me eric debrock keith and bigsod

Duration:7 till 12

Tide:a bit

Weather:lovely

Bait:sandeel peelers squid mac lug rag and one oyster and one hermit

Rigs:two hook clipped, pullys,up and overs and bigsod rig

Results:whiting, dabs and dogs(i wont mention who got the most fish  )

Report:twas a nice evening with little surf hopes high for a ray or early smoothy or small tope ,no one blanked and i think everyone managed a dog ,fair play to keith for his treck out even though he had work at 7 this morning, will give another spot a go during the week as i havnt had a ray off the beach in all my years of fishing  i think i,ll have to go to the shannon this year if i dont get one local ,or go up to fahan with my rods(was up on the dunnygall side last week working but it was a daytrip  )
