Well as i was saying last week we wanted to try it this spot, so saturday evening we got the forks out and went digging for the rag and lug got some mussel also. So Sunday morning came and i was ringing derek no answer though here we go again but he answered after about 10 times ringing him. so it was a hour later than we wanted to get going but sure cant complain once you get out fishing. We arrived on the beach car each (sorry to the green party & global warming) one full of fishing gear and mine with two mountain bikes. So off we set down the beach on the two bikes, Rods in my rod bag, my holdall bag on my back and my chair strapped onto it. Derek had the bait in the big yellow bucket and his chair, food bag, rod stand and bag. Got to the end of the beach in less than 10mins, now who said enjoy the walk
. Set up on the elbow and fish straight out to where we could see a channel. After about 15mins Dereks rod got a massive pull reeled in me ready to run into the water to see what was on, before i could get into the water to find out it had come off. 
Again theory's started bass??? Weed??? who knows, the joys of fishing. Nothing else touched the bait for the rest of the day. very fast incoming tide and current i had a 6oz grip lead on held perfectly may have done with a 5oz but didn't bother to change as it was working fine. Called it a day at 2pm. By this time the tide was full in so no hard sand for the bikes. So we had to go through the sand dunns. Took ages to get back but faster than walking. Would recommend if fishing the spot take the bikes and if possible stay to the tide goes out. Be very careful of the current and tide coming in. we seen an idea spot but on a closer look you could see a small channel in it. If we set up and fished there we would of being stranded in 10mins if you dont keep an eye on it. Will try it again later in the year as there is about 15-20 seals there which must mean fish. Enjoyed the day now i think i will have to head out Sunday with my Dad as its his Birthday Friday, His big 51, would love for him to catch a good bass as he hasn't one in about 15years in Cahor Co. Wexford. Can annoy please put me on a mark that i could bring him to please. Before i forget when i was digging on Saturday i saw a green Ragworm about 10 inchs long but the colour was welly green, Derek took a picture or it on his camera phone so i will post up soon i hope, has anyone came across this before. i though he was dead but when i put him on the fork it moved much slower than a normal ragworm but was alive. Put him back under some seaweed as i though it be best.
