Shocked Surprised and delighted

#1 Post by steveoel »

Had some free time today so i decided to give a quick trip to Fenit Pier to get an hour or two fishing at the high tide.

As i have said in an earlier message i am still learning the ropes so keep this in mind as you read what happened to me today!!!!!

I set up and cast out a Wishbone Rig with Mackeral Bait, it was during the cast that i realised that my Leader Knot had given way

Well Pi***d off but not one to give up i pulled in the rest of the line and placed another wishbone rig on and got back into the water as soon as possible. :x :x

After about ten mins i noticed the top of the rod giving a strange quiver and after a min or two i decided to reel it in.
As i got my rig out of the water in noticed that my leader i lost earlier was attached to the weight, so i started to pull this in by hand.

Not only did i get my rig and weight back but a nice flounder was attached to the old rig as well. :o :o

Shocked was not the word, but i was delighted because it was my only catch of the day.

yars ago i was fishing a spot and as it was snaggy lost a few tracces. Fished it a week later and reeled in one of my traces with the head of a decent codling on it.
