Wexford mark 17/03/09

People:Me (Carpets, Danny & Pat further to the left, Hairdresser & JP down to the right)

Duration:6.30-10pm

Tide:Over the top

Weather:Dry, calm, got a bit cold later on...

Bait:Lug, fresh peeler & Mack

Rigs:4/0 Pennels

Results:1 Bass 41cm, 1 Coalie 45cm, 1 Rockling 34cm, 1 Flounder 18cm (All C&R)




Report:Decided not to fish the usual mark at this beach, so went further up away from the lads. A good nights fishing by all accounts.
Had very little lug however - and guess what? All fish took straight lug! :evil:
Missed two good hits in between - bass bites, but didn't connect. Got plagued a little with heavy weed, but had no problem holding bottom.
Had no camera :( and it was a bit of a walk up to the lads so I didn't bother...
Spoke to Danny by phone, think they had only got one Bass as well between them at that stage. (I'm sure Danny will put me straight when he reads this... :) )
H & JP got a couple of fish too, a few small bass I believe as well as rockling and the usual suspects.
Will make sure to bring the camera next time!!
