Tope fishing

I am thinking of going after tope . What rigs bait and tackle such i use and also what time of the year would be best and are thetre any good marks fishing well at the moment.

fresh:rainbow trout,brown,trout

heard if your wantin a tope to fish in late spring til early autumn. dont ask me about baits or rigs but i would say a running leger would work with mack as bait.

hi youngrod RODS:uptider or 20/30lb boat rod, REELS:slosh 20 or 30, 535 penn,LINE:mono or braid 30lb with 80 to 100lb rubbing leader,RIGS:booms, running leger 100 to 150lb mono trace maybe 3feet long or so 10/0 hook and a good quailty swivel on the other end,BAIT:fresh mac being best frozen mac,herring,squid all work too :wink: hope this helps mate
