I have a century ccc low diameter and find it very stiff , well compared to my conoflex Ballistics that I have used for many years.I cut a lump of the butt to make it 12'2" altered the first two ring positions as I I use the reel in the up position and now after having the rod for a year am starting to to get used to it.When I first got it ,during the cast my lead would fly off to the right indicating the rods stiffness , but as said I have now got used to it and it may over the year softened a little. It is very light in weight and handles 6oz and 3 baits admirably although due to the stiffness bite detection is not great.I only really use it for whacking out at range or when larger fish are likely to be encountered.....every session then!!!!.All in all it is a great rod at a great price £199 over here.Hope this helps.

are you sure youre talking about the conoflex ballistic its a powerhouse
of a rod on a par with the zziplex xtr sport, should know own both
models ,the century ccc is soft in comparison to the ballistic very
user freindly big through action certainly not stiff .

How old is your Ballistic and is it the match Ballistic or the stiffer one???.
The match version is quite soft but the new (I got mine 2 years ago) , is very powerfull and stiff.I cut a foot of my CCC which will make it even stiffer.

Have the century ccc (not the low diameter) have to say really like this rod, lovely rod to cast bite detection is ok, lovely light rod but well able to take a bit of a tussle from a double shot of doggies without a problem.
