People:meself, dots and greener
Duration:about 7 till 10.30
Tide:dropping (fast) all the time
Weather:calm clear starry night
Bait:sandeel, peeler, rag, mackerel
dd
Rigs:pennel pulley, paternoster
Results:the boys had nowt, i had a doggie and a ray
Report:a fairly quiet night, all of us varying the baits with little success. we were literally chasing the dropping tide. about half way through i got a rattle which turned out to be a doggie. sent out another mackerel bait and was busying myself rebaiting the trace that landed the dog when the rod rattled again. then the line went slack. reeled till i could feel some weight, than got more slack line. kept reeling and in came a ray, happy days. made up for the blank (and getting stranded) in katts strand yesterday
