#1 Post by kieran »

People: Me

Duration: 2 hours, 12:00 to 2 pm

Tide: low, coming

Weather: dull but moving to sunshine, light westerly breeze

Bait: local limpet

Rigs: one hook bottom leger

Results: 4 ballen, 2 corkwing to baits, best ballen 3 lbs: 2 mackerel to spinners

Report: nice to get out, mackerel very decent size and very tasty! new mark for me, involved hiking a bit from my usual haunt which is now littered and destroyed.

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...

2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks
Entries now open for the All Ireland Shore Cod Championships on November 29th hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC
