Good surf running. Had 6 flounders, 1 coalfish and a sea trout (returned). All fish fell to mackerel. Average size was small.

Pete,
You ever fish the rocks on up past the Pier Head (about a mile - the flat rocks, on up the wee windy rouad ). I fished them years ago with my dad while on holidays, but would love to give it a go again . Any tips , advice ?

Cheers,
Conor.

Hi Conor,
Never tried the mark your on about. Fished off the breakwater some years ago and had plenty of doggies but little else. There is a whole heap of ground either side of the beach and the pier head which probably rarely see a rod so I'm gonna try a bit of exploring in the coming months. I'll keep you posted as to how I get on.

Pete
