Fished 11 am to 7 pm, high water 7pm. Weather cold and blustery.Water very coloured after the previous days storms.Fished with a variety of presentations using sandeel and mackerel. Total catch for 3 rods a disappointing half dozen whiting and coalies, all small. Lost another conger which beat the brother to a snag
Expected more as I thought after the big blow there could be some action, dreaming of cod.No chance
Still, a lovely day out. Im finding it tough connecting with whiting of any size this year, with only a few decent whiting caught at cappa.
Just to wind me up, a crabbing boat pulled in and the crew told me they have been taking codling caught in the crab pots from the bay.
Still not blanked this year-hoooraaaayyyyy
Kev
