Orkney Strikeliner 16+

Hi all,
just looking for any info on the Orkney Strikeliner 16+ as i'm thinking of buying boat & i've looked at one of these its got Honda 25hp 4 stroke coupled with a smaller auxillary engine. Does anyone use one of these boats or have previous experience of them??

Yo Dog! (Amercian Idol howareya!!)

The strikeliner is a grand vessel. While it may not have the turn of speed of the Hogs or Warriors it is a good seakeeper and and economical hull. i'd reckon a 25 is the minimum you would need on the rear. Adam S got one this year, I'm sure he'll be along shortly.

yes as jim said i got one last year

have a 25hp merc on it and am very happy with it. as jim said not overly fast but its stable and economical.

with two in it at tops revs you might do 16mph tops. good at anchor, handles rough wetaher well. doesnt roll easily.

overall very happy with it
