People:Me

Duration: 6pm until 9:45

Tide:tarbert 16:18 (1.3m) 22:41 (4.3m) -30minutes for clare coast

Weather: Cloudy with breaks. Mild westerly that turned north at the end of the session. Messy surf 1 to 2 foot that cleaned up at the end.

Bait:Sand eel, kilties

Rigs:One hook paternoster surf rig

Results:A 41cm bass

Report: I tried near the rocks to the north for the first hour and a half of the session moving around and changing casting distance with no bites moved up to the center of the beach to a stream and cast out at distance (for my bass rod). Had a cracking bite before 8pm and pulled in a bass of 41cm. Cast out again with no more bites and had a two nests and crackoff frommessing around with my casting that resulted in no more eel left. Tried spinning a kilty around the beach and plug at the rocks for the last hour after that with no luck.
