Charter boat fishing montauk.

#1 Post by jack01986 »

Got a job on a charter boat as a mate so have to bait hooks and tie up rigs and stuff nothing too difficult. Some nice fish being caught the last time I was out. A couple of fish called porgies over here but look like some sort of bream to me they were around 2 and 3lb. We were mainly after stripers but none showed up got a nice bluefish which was around 10lb the teeth on those guys are vicious. They live bait eels for the fish and jig pirks for them as well. The bluefish can bite clean through an eel and 60lb mono no problem the bigger ones can even take fingers off. Didnt get a picture of the bluefish but he was a nice size.
