I started sea fishing just a few months back and didnt have €000's to spend on gear.
I bought the above reel brand new for around €65, and didnt think it looked/felt too bad.
However, having used it for 1 month, the backwind broke (on a friday night with a weekends fishing infront of me I might add
) I left the reel in the shop for the Zebco rep to have a look at and he duly left me a brand new replacement - Fair play I thought, couldnt ask anymore than that despite missing out on a weekends fishing when it broke.Have had the replacement now for around a month, and Deja Vue - Fishing last night backwind broke again, damn it - with a busy weekends fishing to look forward to again
Has anybody any experience with Zebco reels? Your feedback would be very helpful before I head back to the shop(again) with my knackered reel.
Have I just been unlucky?
It is certainly not down to misuse, I spent 6/7 years course fishing as a youngster and never had any reel problems!!!
I think I may be better off getting a refund and buying a good quality 2nd hand FS reel instead, what do ya think
think zebco/rhino are only budget reels. had 2 rhino xl only lasted few months(anti reverse broke) 
, its not like I have had titanic battlesd with 50lb tope, the biggest fish I caught with the reel was a 2lb doggie
