Breathable Waders?

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Breathable Waders?

#1 Post by Dave »

I'm thinking of picking myself up a pair of breathable chest waders at the Angling Expo at the weekend and I'm just looking for any recommendations or advice. I've just been looking at the Greys Grx waders, anyone have any experience with them, good or bad? Also cleated or felt soles?

Don't buy them if you have the aweful habbit of kneeling on the sand to re-bait. I tend to do this a lot when fishing comps. If you have this habbit and still wan't breatheables, look at the leeda brand. The have neoprene stiched into the knees and a$$ sections to help with wear. If you are normal and use a chair or seat box, then you will have no hassle.

I hadn't thought about that, although I'm mainly going to use them plugging for bass and possibly a bit of fly fishing, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Picked up the Grey's Grx waders at the show today, actually they worked a little cheaper than I expected, €210 including the boots from Eurotackle. They look like they'll do the job, just need to do a bit of fishing now so I can test them out.

They'll be perfect for plugging and flyfishing. Be careful where you park your butt when your having a rest. They don't like barnacles and sharp rocks.
