Report:

fished for the first 2 hours with one eye on the surf and one eye on the escape route

couple of big bites but i wasnt quick enough to keep them out of the rocks still enjoyed being out for the first time in ages

the one problem I have is casting i,m hoping at the first comp someone willl have a look and tell me what i'm doing wrong cant get past 80 yards

ps we were in lidl first and bought 2 14 foot beachcaster and reel set for 39euro just as a back up we both decided on the day to use them for the craic and because of the swell (if it got washed away i wouldnt care)
mates first cast 3 peice rod now a 4 peice

i had fun with mine all day they still have them in on sale in lidls

Have the Lidl Rod myself and have to say it's not too bad! It'll do the job if your stuck anyway!
