Report:
Headed to a mark which has produced for us in the past and it didn't let us down.
Fished from 4pm - 11pm and had a healthy stream of fish, well me and Fintan did pretty much did the whole way through the session. Main target was cod and we weren't dissapointed, I had 7 nodders, 4 of were in or around 3/4lb, and two 2lbers and a small fella. Also had a lovely flounder 36cm!!! Fintan "Boots" Kavanagh, had 4 cod (I think) again up to 3/4lb, a flounder and a nice bass, The lucky silver fella came along after we had filleted our cod so he was surplus to requirements. Fair play to Fintan, not a crack off in site, so meself and Boycie might be safe enough leaving the crash helmets at home next time
One of the Cod had the wierdest fish in him, it was about 15cm long, had some kind of horns on his head and his tail tapered the hole way down to his tail, anyone got any ideas???
Boycie has pics so he'll get them up during the week, respect to Bootsie for letting us raid his winter frozen crab supply, Legend!!!
PS: During the "Codfest", one ex-international angler could only manage a flounder and small rockling, won't mention any names but neither me or Fintan are ex-internationals, a sad decline, much in the same way as Amy Winehouse
