Cork Harbour, 17th Sept

People:Me

Duration:1.5 hrs

Tide:Dropping

Weather:Fresh to strong N, clear skies

Bait:Bread

Rigs:Float Rig

Results:4 Mullet

Catch and Release:: Yes/No

Report:After ground baiting a well known holding area for mullet yesterday and early this morning I had the mullet on the feed. At first as the fish were feeding so well I was able to freeline the bread offering. This resulted in two mullet; 5lb 8oz & 2lb 9oz. Two good scraps in the pool had the fish fairly spooked. I set up a float rig to fish a bit of depth. This resulted in two more fish; 4lb 2oz & 4lb 9oz. However, the fish were well & truly spooked at this stage and, although, I gave it another 1/2 hr, I had no more show of interest. Great session though and great excitement! :D

Thanks Phil - I'll keep at it and see if there are a few more before the year is out. :wink:
