Tankard pub,Fenit

#1 Post by bigcol »

fished just behind the Tankard pub on the fenit road saturday 2 oct. from 1pm to 3pm.Low tide 1.40pm.Using a pulley rig and mackeral on a 6/0 hook I cast out in the hope of some good ray fishing which i had good reports about.MASSIVE birds nest. Took 15 minutes to sort out and cast out again.MASSIVE birds nest :( Packed up and scuttled off to the pub where i spent the next hour and a half nursing my pride until i was picked up by the other half.the lessons learnt were always bring plenty of line, make sure your mag is not set to 1 and always try to fish close to a good pub.

Excellent choice of venue Col. Beats a couple of birds nests in the middle of nowhere anytime.

Hi Col,

A tip I picked up but haven't used yet is use blue tac to fix your slidey in place. Same thing happened to me thursday night when I didn't check what number my slidey was at.
