kilreelig

Hi Mickey

In general both species will still be around for several months, although it does depend on the mark and weather. Where is kilreelig?

Thanks
Kieran Hanrahan

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...

2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks

`well u will b glad to hear that the bass stay in the bay all yr long, pollock i reckon too although i have never tried for them in jan. anywhere down on the cliffs there will find u fishing depths of 60 feet +. have taken 14 pollock in a hour on the fly there this summer to 6 r 7 pounds. fished the bay from or small boat this summer taking 12 species in one day, macks pollock, flounder, dogs, huss, launce, coalfish, ling, conger, ballan and cookoo wrasse, cod. it really is the best place i have ever fished. no tope r ray mind u like there is in dingle. the strand they call killreelig strand is well worth fishing for pollock oon either side with mullet from the strand. trigger fish have turned up on finians bay strand as well as mullet bass and flounder.
