Sorry, I posted this in the shore reports section originally by mistake.
I'm heading off tomorrow with my son Conor to fish around the Culdaff beach, Lenan Pier and Fahan Beach and areas around there for the next few days. He wants to catch Rays, Hounds, Bass and mullet. He has read reports on all these places on this site and is mad keen. I want him to catch but don't know the areas that well.
Can anyone recommend anywhere to try or give me tips or advice? If you want to send me a private message I'll be discreet with the information. We're from Bangor so would rarely fish the area.
Thanks in advance.

don't know too much about fahan beach but fish it from two hours before low to two hours after, any other time the tidal flow is too fast and its hard to hold bottom, i am told that the elbow of the beach is the best place
as for cludaff you have the pier and the beach, if there's room on the pier spinning and float work well, use worm or crab as they are the best baits but most bait work well, as for the beach it can be good at time or you blank, but its best to fish from just below the car park as from the beach you see a rock in the water it a fish holding spot, most baits work but i find sandeel and worm work best
leenan pier, from the end of the pier cast out about 50 to 100 yards and you find a gully sandeel works for the rays, try all baits there is a wide range of species of fish to be had, to the right of the pier big conger lurk, fish in close as well for gurnard
hope this helps, good luck
