Autumn time!

#1 Post by Irish_Shamrock »

Alrite folks!

My fishing is usually restricted to June-August. Soley due to the weather.

This year I have overcome my cowardice and I'm thinking of venturing out into those wintery conditions in search of something different.

What can I expect alround the NorthWest coast at this time of year? Bearing in mind that I can't cast far.

This is a whole new ball game for me.

Cheers.

I don't know about the Northwest Shamrock, But Winter in my part of the owrld usually opens up a whole new box of angling possibility. Shoals of Coaly and Codling seem to start moving in around late October til January, then it dies off, leaving ya with pouting and whiting and the like... Unable to Comment on the Atlantic Seaboard, though each year, Belfast Lough fills up with Plague proportions of Mini Whiting... joy.
