cahirciveen is really a deep sea venue, with many of the irish boat records coming out of there.i would really suggest not fishing ni cahirciveen from the shore but to concentrate on nearby places such as
kells for ray
valentia for huss, conger , ray and the usual suspects
Waterville and ballinskelligs bay for bass, have posted a report on the where and how already, someone asked for fishing in waterville.
pollock from the rocks in all the locations to about 10 pounds

I know a mark where you might catch decent flatties from the shore in Mulroy. You'd deffo catch if you were afloat. Turbot, Brill, Plaice and big Dabs.
Send me a pm with your email addy. It's all a bit hush hush. (Any other forum members are welcome to the info too, I just don't want a trawlerman to read it.)

Bass from the beach at Inny, Waterville
Check out Tagh at the local tackle shop, they are very helpful and will tell you the best hotspots of the moment. On the beach, near the river seems a good spot, or over the shingle/rocks when the tide is just starting to cover them.
