Any other marks a bit quieter than Dun Laoghaire or Howth? I was planning to go Sunday morning with light tackle to try and fish the mack one at a time (no bashing!). Any quiet marks, please let us know. Can PM me if you want to keep it quiet. Cheers!
Dalkey rocks are always packed, any free stretch of coast around dublin is packed normally.
Get down to Poolbeg lighthouse on a weekday evening when there's an evening tide, there weren't too many people there last week, but you need to not be afraid to do a bit of rock hopping.
Having said that I did all my catching on the liffey side there on Friday.
If you're lucky you can fish it from the liffey side if the shoals are running down there.
2008 Species: Flounder, whiting, coal fish, Dogfish, rockling, dab.
you could always try greystones (up the gannons ) on the sound beach !! had a ball last year spinning for them on light tackle !! you should be safe from macki bashers down there !!
