Baltimore co.cork

Anyone fished out of baltimore or surrounding area lately ,heading down there next weekend for three days wreck fishing ,hoping to connect with some of those big coalies ,whats the best method ?

Have only recently been trying shads and to very limited effect. What size do you find best and how fast a retrieve do you use? I think I might be going too slow, however we are pretty successful getting Pollock on Eddystone Eels with a painfully slow retrieve.

Arthurg,
As fast as possible. Its hard to describe how fast but lets say a little slower than if you were going to change bait.
You would certainly do sixty turns in less than 60 seconds.

Thanks for the advice jim ,never really got a chance to try out my shads ,the weather was pretty grim at weekend ,got some nice conger on mackerel flapper best was 33lb ,but couldn't get out to the distant wrecks as planned . Maybe next time !!
What colours you find fish best might try them up on the north coast ?
