No out and out casting reels but this is what I will be playing with.

The old Ambassadeur 7000 was in the back of a press for years. When I came across it a while back it was completely seized and I pulled off the level wind, gave it a shot of oil and it is flying.
Wont win any beauty contests though. :D

Got this one today. Just out of the box and not used yet. Any thoughts on it.

I managed to get a peek at one of Paddy's reels on Sunday past. 8) The line didn't seem to be just as level as in the photos and he was hagging at it with a pair of scissors. Not to sure what was happening. :? Must have been some sort of casters black magic.

Or maybe he just fluffed it.

And as for me I just came to the conclusion I could get my leads to travel further without the added hassle of drag from line.

No line = more distance 8)
