Dave, its cack. I made the mistake of buying a spool. I now use it as backing for "proper" braid. Its like knitting wool. The mono equivalent these days is finer.
Fluff chucking is the new black..... Rampant Wreckfish is a fly angler in denial :D

was talking to a guy on a boat trip i went on said he was using dacron braid he was happy with it and he paid 70 for 300 meters he bought it in a local fishing shop im on the look out for 500 meters of it my self that or spider wire

dacron is real old school braid, supersceded these days by power pro and the like. power pro would be my choice of braid

If it hollow dacron....its mostly used in big game fishing to make a wind on leader.The thick mono will be tuck inside the hollow dacron and whiped,some special glue applied=smooth & unbulky connection.End of dacron is splice to make an eye which connected to the bimini on mainline via loop to loop or cat pawl.Other than that i used it to make a single hook for my lure to replace a treble if parrallel eye single hook is unavailable.

Other than braid,power pro also produce dacron for the purpose that i mention before.
