What length are these mini rods everyone is talking about. :? Could someone point me in the direction of stockist or recommend a good one as I don't have any rods shorter that 10' at present, Thanks!!

The mini rods are really just kids rods ,the ones we use are 4 foot 6 inch Shakesphere ugly stiks ,the only real modification i have made is a trigger type grip behind the reel seat so the thing doesn't get pulled from my hand when pollack fishing from the boat .
I also find a left hand wind multiplier easier to use as i have a better grip with my right hand ,reel wise I'm using a shimano corvalus 301 loaded with 20lb mono ,you need the heavy line when fishing through the boulders .
Pete done an article for Irish angler a while back which is due out in may ,and the " mini rods " featured pretty heavily  for there size they can handle some decent sized fish with cod 30lb+ ,conger 10lb , wrasse to near 4lb and pollack to 7lb all caught on them .
