im still usin a daiwa supercast with a abu 6500 an a daiwa td ss 130ma with a shimano calcutta 400s i havent been out in about a year so lookin forward to doin a bit more fishing in the coming months

Where are ye all going for the zziplex rods? I'm in Cork and have never seen any around. Have never been to Peter hornes tackle shop and I don't know where it is.

I have had a few different zippys but I still cant go past the zf250 for beach work, I would have to say any of the penn 525's although I would use the mag extra more. I bought a zziplex powertex bass rod last year for £80 of a tackle tart who used it twice, and to be honest its starting to make an impression on me.

For general beach and mixed ground its a century kompressor ss and 525 mag for heavy ground conger and huss fishing its a greys apollo mk2 and slosh30. For heavy wrasse and estuary work its a greys bze 12ft 6 with a slosh20 and for light wrasse, float and spinning its a 9ft ugly stick with a zebco rhino reel
