Report:
fished what has become one of my favourite marks. wasnt expecting too much with the cold N breeze and bright sunshine. arrived 3 hours before hw and had bites from the off. all dogs unfortunately. was getting them on all baits.. pain in the a$%e they are at this stage.
this continued until 10 mins after hw when in typical fashion a few huss came on the feed. i lost on of about 4 lbs on the way in, then next cast i had a small one of about 2lbs, the lost another one of i'd say around 5 or 6lbs, again on the way in. after this i got something of a different bite. when huss are on the feed i like to keep the reel in free spool and thumb it so they can run resistance free with the bait. this one took this to heart and ran for about 5 yards when it took the bait for the first time. it then dropped it and ran again. i knock the reel into gear, left the rod tip hoop over and struck.3 minutes later i had my 4th double figure huss of the year landed. i had one more after this of around 3 lbs before the tide began to run harder and the fish went oof the feed..
