People:myself and bradan

Duration:7-11:30pm

Tide:high 8:40

Weather:clear with a westerly breeze, calmed down through the evening

Bait:lug, mack and sandeel

Rigs:one up one down, 3 hook flapper, 3 hook Bling..

Results: 6 flounder and a doggie

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:
gave bradan a text in the afternoon to see did he want to head out seeing that i had a few lugworm going, arrived down to the strand with a perfect surf for flatties. with little weed in the water after yesterdays gales it was fairly coloured though.. first to get the tap was bradan and in with a nice flounder, the game was on..
i soon followed with a nice flounder, but the lead was taken again by bradan with another flounder...i changed my size 2/0 one up one down for a size1 one up one down that i had made earlier on the path..
just a swell i did.. i managed to pull out a nice flounder of 33cm

putting me in the lead again.. as the tide ebbed we moved down onto the beach.. followed by three polish carrying a tourch

.. i could see them from a distance as they shined there torch my way.. i turned around to look at them with my headlight on full beam.. all i could see were 3 arms covering eyes

damn that silva L1 has a powerful beam

around this time bradan caught a nice little doggie and demonstrated the roughness of a doggies skin on one of the unfortunate volunteers

by this time the fishing had gone so i tried to see if i could scratch one out.. bingo.. a nice little flattie of 20.5cm.. someone called it a night with the excuse of work in the morning(more like sick of me catching all the time)

so the score goes

Ah well some of us have to work in the morning Steve, just to keep you in the lifestyle you're accustomed to...

Told you the bling would work, although it seemed to work better in daylight.

As for the score, I won't ask who had the biggest fish!

it was a doggie... s'pose you want brownie points for getting a second species now

and as for the bling.. it kept blinding me when i looked over and you were baiting up

havent fished there in ages - think ye should be using different bait there altogether - down the back beach

right so thats 3 specimen bass over the last 2 weeks then

god the place is fishing mighty now so

must get in touch with micheal mac an leithreas so and see how he is trolling the mack head
