Are there any marks in cobh that offer mullet fishing for the ham fisted?

Have a few hours there this weekend and a float rod packed

Kev - I have not fished it myself but I do know a mate got a specimen there last year from the quay that the charter boats leave from. He was getting off the boat after a days fishing and saw the mullet feeding on gutted fish. He rigged up a makeshift trace and used his boat rod and landed the fish - crude but it proves the fish are ccatchable. Scatter a few fillets of mackerel about and you might trigger them into feeding.

Mullet Cobh

Passed an English lad on Friday night who was fishing the Pier Head in Cobh. He had a 5.5lb mullet after only 5 min fishing - on bread!
