loose spigot

Hi, I have a multi section carp rod and the joint just above the reel seat can get quite loose and has actually parted from the rod while casting once or twice. This means I have to constantly check it and have little confidence putting much power into a cast.

Just wondering if anything can be done to tighten it?

graphite spray will help or like some of the fly fishermen do....tape the joint with a few wraps of electrical tape when in use.
