North wexford rock mark 14/7/07

#1 Post by davybrown99 »

People: Just me

Duration: 4 hours

Tide: Rising

Weather: cloudy, sunny and windy.

Bait: rag

Results: 2 bass 3lb each, small starry smoothie, 2 pup tope, 1 plaice, loads of dabs.

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report: Not sure where exactly i was but was in general area of castletown. Drove passed a nice looking rock mark so parked up and and set up with hopes of my first smoothie. First cast i caught my jacket cuff in the line and the cast landed abut 20 yards out passed rocks. Left it and was rewarded with a nice little 3lb bass that put up a hell of a fight around the rocks. Carried on after but a little further out close to a group of rocks and had non stop action the whole session. Was tough going with a fierce tide running and strong winds. Enjoyable all the same. A few lads further up had nothing all day. Luck of the draw i suppose, easier places to fish from don't necessarily hold fish. Can't wait to get back.
