I caught this Freshwater eel weighing .98kg at newtownards canal/estuary whilst mullet fishing ,I saw it nosing around in the channel in front of me so feed some maggots just upstream then changed my mullet rig around a bit to work the magots on the hook down to the patch of weed were he was lurking ,it went like stink on the light gear and made a hell of a mess of the line and landing net/weigh bag/arms/hands with slime :lol:

my first ever gilthead bream caught at Rosscarbery using rag/squid on the 15-6-07.not a big fish but i was chuffed to bits anyway

caught this wee rock goby today whilst collecting bait for conger fishing ,it took a herring strip on a size 4 hook meant for poorcod ,I also managed a conger of 7lb on the conger gear .

Cuckoo Ray :D 1 of 2 caught both around 3lb from antrim coast mark. bit of a change from the dogs that normally haunt here!

Took a large squid strip on a running ledger :D

Conger, Codling, Coalfish, Shore Rockling, Dab, Flounder, Dogfish, 3 beard rocking, Pollack, Whiting, Pouting, Red cod, Poor Cod, Tadpole fish, Short and Long splined sea sculpin, TopKnot, Cukcoo Ray,

Targets: fish over 10lb, eel over 20lb (came VERY close almost :( )
