the facts on the bass ban

are you allowed to fish for them but must return them?
not quite sure on that as i would imagine they will still be caught if fishing for flounders etc etc.

or

is it a total ban on fishing for them.

confused :? :?
why does yer last cast always take an hour?

total ban on fishing for them.. not to be targeted, i'm sure the odd one gets caught as a by-catch, but must be immediately returned,

severe consequences if found in possession of a bass during this time from what i hear... (can anyone clarify on this)

Bass Fishing Conservation Bye-law No. 807 of 2006:
5. It is hereby prohibited to fish or attempt to fish for bass with any rod, line or weir during the period commencing on 15 May 2007 to 15 June 2007.

just as well i asked as i was planning a quick raid at the end of the month.

will have to wait till after june 15 then :(
