charter boat owners?
I thinking about leaving work "Redundant maybe". And was thinking of moving to Thailand with my girlfriend and buying a fishing boat . Just looking for the basics of what i need where i go to learn navagation and safety skills and things i wouldn't think of when i start out and pitfalls.Thanks!!

You would need to do your homework very thoroughly first!!
The operating cost may not be what you believe them to be even here.
You will need to be able to keep a boat maintained so need a reliable backup team and place to lift and repair when necessary.
Then you would need customers, equipment , insurance, harbour fees the list may be endless!
Here most charter boat skippers have to have a second income usually commercial fishing or accommodation or tackle shops etc to keep the boat. It is a short season and very few boats are out every day. So I wouldn't like to take the risks abroad without lots n lots of pre planning.
