Weather: No wind, water like glass
Bait: mackerel/razor
Rigs: 2 hook boom /spinners
Results: 6 codling

Headed down to the pier about 7pm, tried spinning for imaginary mackerel for 3/4 hour (heard they were in - not true!). Lads beside me used hokai feathers for the imaginary macks too. Then threw out razor, tipped with mackerel. First cast, nice codling about 1 1/2 lb. Every cast from then on, some kind of bite. End of it all had 6 nice codling. Other lads caught 2 decent codling on hokai feathers fished very slowly on the bottom.
