has anybody used these yet. i bought a few packets of them today, gonna use them on pulleys. look pretty useful

I use similar for running ledgers (didn't know what they were called!) and I find them ideal. For a running ledger, if you put a second bead below the rolling bead, it helps the line to stand-off a bit, and avoid tangles. I guess a bean on both sides for a pulley rig ...

Any idea where to get them? I always find them hard to come by.

think i got the last 3 packets of them in cork angling.using them on a 100lb pulley for huss, think i could get away without the other beads tho as i doubt it will damage 100lb mono

also think fox make a better on than this for pike fishing

I got Allan Prosser in ABC (Dublin) to order some in so I could use them on pulley rigs. I find that there's no line damage after banging them out unlike when I just use a swivel and kink the line badly.
There's another one called a fox pulley bead and I've asked the lads in Southside Angling in Cork St to order them in.
I reckon it's the only job for a pulley rig that you want to last.
