Glenarm Beach Sunday25/2/07

#1 Post by MARRCO7 »

Fished Glenarm Today lunch til dark, a big swell not a bite or a sign of a fish, and lots of weed being washed up. Stopped at Ballygally on Saturday a much calmer day a guy who was fishing the beach had seen nothing either.

Marc,

this beach will not produce fish during the day at this time of year - you need to fish it at night during the flood.

Check out some of the recent reports by me and lucky angler.

Yes i know it fishes better at dark but with rafts of weed being blown in we had to pack it in, Saturday it was like a lake too.

Hard lines there Marrc.

Nothing can be done about the weed. I would suggest that if you are in this position again on Glenarm Beach, you could try the breakwater on the south side of the harbour - this area is rarely affected by weed.

Plenty of doggies there - set up between the two lamp-posts at the top of the ramp leading to the pontoon and cast 30yds+ towards Garron point. Stay out of the ground to your right as it is very rough there.
