looks like a five bearded rockling to me might be wrong its a bit blured

def looks like a 5 bearded ,4 barbules on top 1 on the chin .,you can make out 3 on top from photo so def not a shore .

Would that rockling have a really smooth skin and a round tail rather than an edgy one? ( hard to describe what I mean... )

cought one in Inniscrone the other night and looked like a miniature cod but with a rounder tail than a cod.

The nick name for them is the 'SLUG' for obvious reasons. :shock:

Slimmy creatures. :roll:

Although they can be taken on surprisingly large hooks meant for conger etc. :lol:

could be a four or a five bearded, but defo not a shore. looks like a five, did you count the barbules?

yeah they have a rounded tail
