People: Myself and grandson

Duration:4 hrs

Tide: low + 1

Weather: overcast, cold . wind NE

Bait: lug, razor, piddock, mackerel tip

Rigs: 2/0 hook to 25lb gut, nice and simple

Results: 2 coalies, bigger 1.5 lb, 2 tiny codling, 4.5 lb bass

Catch and Release:: Yes/No

Report:

Lug wasnt great but took the bass. A lot of activity from the birds. Ruined a new anorak but was still good to see fish before february.

Good job. Nice bass for so far up the east coast in January.

nice result from laytown w f sounds like it was a very positive result for you and the grandson. ps. nice to hear that old word GUT! mentioned again rather than braid and mono and the like.
