Travel rods

Can anyone recomend a travel rod? - for salt spinning. Worth getting?

A pal of mine has a Shimano Beastmaster that I've borrowed a few times & found it to be excellent.
I'm looking at getting a travel rod myself, considering a beastmaster or one of the Diawa Osprey/Regal rods.

The Shimano Exage range are worth looking at - the 10/11 ft version is a good all-rounder though my 8/9 ft (270MH) version has suited me well. I also have a couple of Daiwa's - the Whisker spin and the Lochmor. Both are 9ft rods and come in 4 piece travel versions. In general, the Exages are smaller when taken apart. A had a 10ft Whisker spin in a 4-piece until I broke it. Rated at lure weights of 10-60 gms, it's a better rod than the Exage and would do for everything.

There's also the greys range if you are willing to part with the dosh - I think about 200 EUR would pick up a nice 10 foot greys travel rod.

I have a shimano exige travel rod comes with a rod tube and looks very good. havent used it yet

shimano travel rods are really well put together, i have the stc beastmaster beachcaster, great tool
