I Think Mr Green was referring to the price which is normally only paid out for a really good rod. Most people seem to have a dislike of paying big money for a reel. Its a bit like golfers paying hundreds for a driver and buying a cheap putter even though they use it more than any other club.

Mr green its the tops of fixed spool reels and you will find cheaper in other places. Maybe the boy can lend you a few quid ????????????????

lol mayb...no chance would i pay that much 4 a reel...id b more inclined 2 buy a decent rod for that money...even tho i have 2 many as it is lol

Bit cheap that fixed spool, google up Shimano Stella or Daiwa Saltiga

Or something like Van Staal or Accurate Twin spin.
Had a try with a Van Staal on a charter boat last time i was in OZ, stunning reel. Way out of my price league though
