Galway bay

i have just started boat fishing and am wondering what works best on galway bay.usually head out from spiddal.

buy a good book and start form there i would also be intrested in a seat on a charter but i cant aford to go to often im a student

Small boat fishing or charter? Galway bay and beyond are noted for shark fishing ie. Tope, Blues, Huss, Monkfish and even Porbeagle on occasion. Not familiar with it myself but so says in books i've looked at....

its a 18ft boat-have only been out in bout 4 times,we were late gettin it ready.so far have only fished for mackerel

There is a boat angler on this forum called Peter Kinsella who hails from Clare and fishes the entire bay - he would be a mine of information for you.

As far as I recall he heads off in a RIB and covers vast distances...
